I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
